The CAPA project managed by Daniel O’Connell Sons, Inc., was completed in February of 2011. The Center was designed by Tod Williams Billie Tsien Architects. The firm designed the American Folk Art Museum, which won the World Architecture: Best Building in the World in 2002. DJW was consulted on the design of the roof system during the preconstruction process. Many options were discussed before arriving at a Freedom Grey copper roof system with both standing and flat seam components. DJW was also responsible for the waterproofing the courtyard water feature.
