Williamstown residence #1

The home was designed by architect Maya Lin in 1992. The original flat seam and solder roof had failed due to poor craftsmanship and was in need of replacement after less than 20 years of service (typically 60+ year life expectancy). DJW  removed the existing lead coated copper roof and replaced it with a flat seam and solder system using freedom grey copper.  DJW implemented proper techniques, including the use of a soldering iron rather than a torch, to ensure that the soldered joints would not fail.
